ERGONOMICS HEALTH RISK - TRAINING & ASSESSMENT

Ergonomics is concerned with appropriate design for people - the design of systems,  processes, equipment and environments so that tasks and activities required of them are within their limitations but also make the best use of their capabilities. Hence it is a user-centered approach to research and design.

Unitron works in three major domains of Ergonomics, namely : Physical ergonomics, Physical ergonomics, Cognitive ergonomics and Organisational ergonomics. Five vital elements namely the worker, job/ task design, workplace design environment and equipment, outside economic and social influence, are considered for Ergonomic.

The potential to cause harm (hazard) is identified and the probability that the hazard will cause injury or harm (risk) is evaluated, so as to redesign the workplace or process and lower or eliminate the risk, thereby taking care of hazard.

The designing of any workplace can be done as per ISO 6385.
